Roger Campbell has announced that he is seeking the office of County Clerk. He said he made this decision after months of soul searching and encouragement from others. Campbell was and is opposed to moving the Clerks Office and the Courthouse away from downtown. Campbells interest in research, the study of law as it pertains to local/county government, and in wanting things to be done according to law will be very valuable in the Clerks office.
Campbell, born and raised on a small farm in the South, has lived in Van Buren County with his family for many years. Campbell is a graduate of ETI. In past years, he has been a leader in the Boys Scouts and Cub Scouts, was active in the pro-life movement and was the W.S. Coordinator for the Christian Pro-life Party.
Campbell, a hard-worker and a Bible believer, describes himself as one who keeps the commandments of God and has the faith and testimony of Jesus Christ (Revelation 12:17, 14:12). Campbell says he plans to run a clean campaign, and would like to campaign for the office, not against the incumbent.
